Umang app is a platform that is designed for Indian citizens in order to give them access to all government services at one place from local bodies, state, central, and government agencies on app, IVR channels, SMS and web. Provident Fund (PF) Services You Can Avail On Umang App:
Mainly, three services are provided by the Umang App to its subscribers. A claim for pension withdrawal, viewing their passbook, withdrawal of partial amount of pension, final settlement, all these can be done by the subscriber of the Umang App. A subscriber can also view the status and keep a check on the progress of already submitted claim. Even if a subscriber decides, for the remaining two services to not link their Aadhaar card (UID) with their EPF accounts still the feature of viewing their passbook can be accessed by them.
In the EPFO section of Umang app, one feature is missing, that is, it does not give the permission of raising requests of transferring to latest EPF account from the existing, EPF account.
In Google Play Store, EPFO had an app that showed the balance in the users account along with the passbook.
Umang is the only app that gives the subscribers access with EPFO services with M-EPF taken off, and EPFO being connected with Umang app.
Services such as Aaadhar seeding, pensioner-specific services and filing nominations with the help of the Umang app, EPFO is working on providing these services to its users.
