Aussies Slammed With Shame Over Ball Tampering Controversy, Smith And Warner Quit

After this latest controversy of ball-tampering emerged, Smith made this statement in the media that it was part of the game plan of his team and included the Team Leadership Group (senior player of strategy team). Since then, this incident was being condemned around. On this incident, Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull described it as “shameful”.

After this, Cricket Australia and Australian Sports Commission (ASC) showed seriousness on the matter. ASC had instructed Cricket Australia to remove Smith from the captaincy and take action against those players and coaching staff, who are involved in this incident.

On the third day of the match being played in Cape Town against South Africa, Australian team player Cameron Bancroft was seen tampering with the ball. After this Steve Smith and Bancroft had told the media that this was their team’s game plan, in which the other senior team members were included.

Smith said that our team was lagging behind in this important match and our bowlers were not getting any help from the ball. In such a situation, we made plans in the lunch session; why not make some tampering with the ball so that our bowlers can get help in reverse swing. After this Steve Smith and team, Australia was being severely criticized.

The incident of ball tempering isn’t new in the cricket but the method of doing it was something novel to see.

Technology On Offer As Japan Hosts 2020 Games

Some of the newest technologies and conventional paper cranes are on offer as Japan looks to market itself as the host of the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games, with organizers expecting to become heir to the fervor and enthusiasm of hosts for Pyeongchang 2018. Tokyo will host the games in summer for the 2nd time, after the extremely successful Olympics in 1964, and organizers have conveyed a huge delegation to Pyeongchang to study how to host them productively.

Technology On Offer As Japan Hosts 2020 Games

Shinzo Abe, the Japanese Prime Minister, will also come to South Korea later this week to be present at the opening ceremonies. But early this week it was all about launching the fun side at the Tokyo 2020 Japan House of Japan, which unlocks for the public since the Games formally begins later this week.

On offer were cameras permitting users to print their face on paper employed to make conventional folded cranes that make life-size models that then dance through classic Tokyo roads scenes on a big screen.

“We will witness an unparalleled run of 3 successive Olympics in Asia such as Tokyo in 2020, Pyeongchang 2018, and Beijing in 2022. This is an opportunity for all Asia to lend a hand to make this fun,” claimed Chief Operating Officer at Tokyo 2020, Yukihiro Nunomura, to the media in an interview.

“Pyeongchang will begin this off and we hope this to be an enormous success and that this wand can then be given forward to Tokyo, so we take over their fervor and enthusiasm.” The Tokyo 2020 games will be 4th run of Japan at the Olympics. Apart from Tokyo in 1964, it has welcomed twice the Winter Games, namely Nagano in 1998 and Sapporo in 1972. Tokyo organizers have grappled with construction delays and surging costs, particularly with the fresh national stadium, as per sources.

Brazil Footballers that have bizarre names

Shakespeare once said “what’s in a name?” But when we link this to a Brazilian team, which undoubtedly explains that everything is in a name itself.
We have always been watching some famous players striking the ball in the net; they are known as great Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, and also Drogba (How can we forget him!!!).
Below are some of the footballers that aren’t famous with their game but are worldwide famous for their funtastic names.

Pikachu: Brazilian striker who has 40 goals on his name; but when host announces the player’s entry for the substitution they say, “Player replaced by Pikachu”. His full name is Glaybson Yago Pikachu Souza in the football circuit. It might be a complex task for the clubs with confusion whether to sign him or to capture him.

Mahatma Gandhi: No, he isn’t the great Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi from India. A young Brazilian midfielder has ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ in his full name as Mahatma Gandhi Heberpio Mattos Pires. But the name doesn’t exactly match with the player’s personality as the great leader was a nonviolent practitioner and this Brazilian player is an offensive and aggressive midfielder.

Mosquito: Thiago Rodrigues da Silva, Brazilian forward is known as “Mosquito”. He keeps rendering over the football pitch like a mosquito with his powerful performance.

Creedence Clearwater Couto: A Brazilian Striker was named as Creedence Clearwater Couto just because his dad was a diehard fan of a legendary rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival.
So, if you happen to hear a commentary saying that Gandhi dribbles, Mosquito passes, pitbull shoots and credence goals don’t be shocked, they are all players of Brazil.

India Vs England, 4th Test: India Cap off Resounding Series Win

India Vs England, 4th Test

Well well well!!! This is indeed good news for the Indian cricket fans as Team India grabs the victory in half an hour of the last day of the 4th Test match at our favorite Wankhede stadium. With Ashiwn halting his 24th 5-wicket treat and the Indian skipper, Kohli making his 3rd double century this year, it was a piece of cake for the team to win this match.

Earlier, when England ended its 1st inning on 400, the Indian batsmen fought bravely but the efforts were not enough. This was because team India was nagging on 300-6 at the end of day three. But Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, along with Jayant Yadav made up for the loss. Knocking off a double century along with Jayant Yadav’s debut test century, Kohli gave England a score of 631 with a lead of 231.

India Vs England, 4th Test

When the Indian batsmen were over with showing their magic, it was time for the Indian bowlers to show theirs. By the end of day 4, England was 186-6 with just 4 wickets remaining for the next day. Ashwin managed to grab 2 wickets on day 4.

And today, as the day began, Indian bowlers did not give England even a single chance to knock their bat. Ashwin, who managed to take 2 wickets on day 4, wrapped up the game by grabbing all 4 wickets within half an hour.

With India winning the series by 3-0, the last test will be dead-test as the results are already in front of us. But England will surely try to grab the last one for its pride, only if Kohli and his men will allow them to.

On November 27, 2014, Phil Hughes passed away.

On November 27, 2014, Phil Hughes passed away.

St. Vincent Hospital, Sydney was the place where Phillip Joel Hughes breathed his last after being struck on the head by the bouncer from Sean Abbott on November 25, 2014. Had Hughes survived that tragic incident, he would have celebrated his 26th birthday on coming 30.

Team Australia wore black armbands as a token of love and respect for Hughes when they headed towards the Adelaide Oval in the 3rd test against South Africa. Even though it has been two years for that unfortunate instance, team Australia was not unable to recover. This had a devastating effect on the team as well as the whole world.

Not only the cricket world, but also the players and people from all fields showed their condolences on Hughes death on his 2nd anniversary. Jordan Spieth expressed his feelings and remembered Phil Hughes during Australian Open 2016. The true spirit of sportsmanship was seen and felt.

November 27, 2014 was a black day recorded in the history of cricket, for cricket lost a talented batsman. May God rest his soul in peace. Phil will always be in the hearts of the people and will be always remembered due to his performance and good behavior. We miss you Phil!!!

India v England, 3rd Test, Mohali: Both Team All Set To Match Each Other

The previous test match between the two giants, India and England, was witnessed by each cricket fan. The match led India to win by 246 runs and gain a 1-0 lead in the series. Now, team India will look forward to win the 3rd test match at Mohali on coming Saturday so that they have a strong lead in a 5-match series against England.

England, on the other hand, will learn from its mistakes. They will try to level the series this time. Their primary target will be to contain the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. They see Virat as a great danger. Why should not they? Virat is in great form and he is killing the opponent with this aggressive batting. England will also focus on its batting line-up this time. As seen in the previous match, their batting line-up failed to match the potential that they were expected to show. Indian bowlers are knocking-off their batsmen like a child’s play.

What is team India up to face the British? Well, when asked to the captain Virat, he mentioned that Indian bowlers are in a good form and he wants them to maintain this form. This will be accomplished by continuous practice, which the Indian bowlers do without missing, said captain Virat. On the other side, experts mentioned one more interesting thing. They have seen a tremendous growth in the performance of Virat since he has taken the charge of captaincy. Looking at the statistics, Virat played 31 matches before he became the captain. In these 31 matches, Virat made 2098 runs giving an average of 41.13. Now, as an element of surprise, this chart went high after he became the captain. As a captain he played 19 matches, scored 1793 runs making his average to rise up to 59.76. Now this is something that made the experts scratch their mind.

In the end, they came to a conclusion that Virat has been boosted by the captaincy. This is the ultimate sign of a good captain as he is making runs under pressure. Now, the coming time will decide whether Indians will be able to maintain their consistency or the British will avenge their loss in previous match.

India v England, 2nd test: Battle between the warriors to start today

The second between Indian and England at Vizag stadium, Visakhapatnam will be the deciding one. England will fight to keep its record of winning against India. On the other hand, the Indian cricket team will strive to keep its number 1 position in the ICC Test Cricket ranking and will also seek to take the revenge of the 2012 white wash.

Team Indian had a new experience under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. The team experienced a rise in the performance of the spinners. The numbers says it all. Indian spinners managed to take 9 wickets in the first inning. But the batting line up failed to match the expectations, which they have set by showing their performance in previous matches. Kohli has been talking confidently and humbly about his experience in this tour. He mentioned that this tour has taught him a lot of lessons which he has been taking in a positive way. He also mentioned that he is not going to take team England for granted.

India v England, 2nd test: Battle between the warriors to start today
India v England, 2nd test: Battle between the warriors to start today

Talking about both the teams, each team has their trump card with them. Seeing England’s performance in the first test, their intentions of winning the series had become clear to team India. The main attraction of the show was Haseeb Hameed. He has solved the problem of England’s opening batsmen. His performance in the last test showed his potential and capabilities. Hameed along with Captain Cook could give a tough time for the Indian bowlers at the opening.

On the other hand, Indian team is going well under the shadow of new captain. The bowlers give their best. R Ashwin’s performance will be a turning point for the match. His phenomenal bowling and unconditional batting skills make him a perfect player for the test matches. The batting line up needs to be stable. Kohli is aware of his responsibilities and his batting reflects the same.

At the end, it is just the matter of luck, judgment and hard work. These three elements decide the fate of the team in a match. Let’s see, if this match will break the tradition of India’s white wash in test series or not.

India v England, 2nd Test: 50th Test for The Run-Maker Machine Of India

The second India v England Test match will be a bit special for our ultimate run maker, Virat Kohli, in his 50th game. Virat, the new test captain, has built up a fine reputation in his 49 Tests. He made a total of 3,643 runs at 46.11 with 13 hundreds. On this special occasion, here are the top 5 performance of Virat Kholi.

The Run-Maker Machine Of India
The Run-Maker Machine Of India

103 & 51* v New Zealand, Bangalore, 2012

This was Kohli’s second test century which proved to be a match-winning contribution. India won by five wickets in this match. New Zealand made a score of 365 in their first innings. Kohli’s 103 lifted India from 80/4 and lead to the victory.

119 & 96 v South Africa, Johannesburg, 2013

This was one of the best performances of Kohli. After Tendulkar’s era, the question was who will support the Indian batting line up. Kohli answered this question with his century. Even though this match was drawn, Kohli’s century was not ignored and he was given the “Man of the Match” title.

115 & 141 v Australia, Adelaide, 2014

Kohli became the first to give a twin ton as a debut captain in the history of cricket. But after Kohli’s wicket, India lost the initiative giving Australia a 48-run victory.

vk-1

200 v West Indies, North Sound, 2016

This test match with West Indies proved to be great one for Virat resulting in his first double ton. India scored a whooping 566/8 which lead India to win the match by an inning.

211 v New Zealand, Indore, 2016

Virat gave his best in this match against New Zealand. The Virat-Rahane duo made a partnership of 365 leading India to declare its first inning at 557/5. Virat gave a magnificent example of how a captain’s inning needs to be played in this match.

Concluding this, we reach to a question: Weather Virat will be India’s next Sachin?

But, in this case, the question is not about who will become the next Sachin. By seeing Virat perform so well in the matches, he definitely deserves to be the “first himself”, rather than the “next somebody else”.
