The mini workstation is 2.3-inch high that is comparatively smaller than a normal PC. The features such as expandable memory of up to 32 GB, 6 USB ports (4 of 3.0 ports and 2 of 3.1 G1 Type-C ports),  3x3x3 limited standard warranty, up to 1.5 TB max storage, same ISV application certification as the Z240 Security and manageability features, such as Intel® vPro™ technology 5 make it a great choice. It supports 6 displays and has a workstation more powerful than a commercial mini PC.

The HP Z2 in order to handle large files at a faster phase has a Windows 10 Pro or Linux operator with an Intel Xeon processor HP Z Turbo drive and Nvidia professional graphics.

Vice President and General Manager Jeff Wood of Workstations and Thin Clients, HP Inc. said that HP Z2 mini workstation is a relatively versatile iconic design with a power more than a business-class mini PC.
